Tide Coldwater, saves!

Doing laundry has become a normal routine for me.  Colors? Whites? Darks? Light?  I’ve got it down pack.  Cold Water? Warm? Hot?  It’s the way of life for this mom. Before our move to the OC, my husband and I did our laundry at the mat for almost 11 years!  That is a long time.  Again, I got used to the machines there and laundry was a breeze.  Want to know who taught me how to do laundry?  My husband did.  Go figure, huh? Tide Coldwater Liquid Laundry Detergent- is specially formulated to help get clothes clean when they...

Finding Nemo in 3D!

Finding Nemo in 3D!

Finding Nemo is probably the most “quoted” movie here in our home.  From “Let’s keep swimming” and “anemones” to talking like whales. This movie is a huge hit with all three of my kids.  My favorite is Dory.  One of our favorite rides at Disneyland is the “Nemo” ride. See what I mean?!?   It’s only a give-in that DISNEY•PIXAR only present Finding Nemo in 3D.  The beautiful ocean scenes and the colors of the sea will definitely make the movie stand out in 3D.   It...

A Whale of a Good Time!

Have you ever been whale watching?  I have.  I was in either kindergarten or 1st grade.  All I remember is going with my class and seeing nothing.  Since then (yes, literally) I’ve always wanted to go and take a boat ride and actually see these majestic beasts. I love whales.  I love watching documentaries about them. I love hearing about them.  They fascinate me and of course scare me, too!  The closest I have ever come to a whale is at Sea World. So, imagine my excitement when I was recently invited to go on a whale watching...

Year of the Dragon!

Happy Chinese New Year!   This Monday the year of the Dragon will be celebrated at P.F. Chang’s! I remember while I was working (my first job was at a Dialysis center in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley which is predominantly Asian) and my co-workers and I could not wait for Chinese New Year.  Can you guess why? Of course!  The little red envelopes! This was the best time to score with our patients.  It was awesome. This year, P.F. Chang’s is taking on the “red envelope” idea and in this “Year of the Dragon”...

To the rescue!

Some of you may know that we are a Christian family.  If you didn’t… well now you do!  (: With the challenges that I am facing raising a teenager, I did what any mother would do.  I prayed.  Not that I just started praying now.  I’ve been praying for my son for a while now.  Specifically singling him out from the rest of the family.  Why?  Because he needs it.  I need it. I am not saying that prayer doesn’t work.  It really does and I’m a firm believer of it but this amigas,  calls for a job for…...

My little perfectionist..

Yesterday’s homework time was brutal. Surprisingly enough, it had nothing to do with my teenager, but my 1st grader.  My 6yo is a perfectionist. To The Max. Are you a parent of a perfectionist? For homework he had to draw a picture and write a paragraph about the picture he drew. He wrote his paragraph first and then proceeded to draw his picture.  What he had in mind to draw he couldn’t put it onto the paper.  This is where it all came crashing down. He wanted me to draw a building.  Well, my interpretation of a building is a...

Long Drives…

There truly is no other therapeutic method for me to decompress from the stresses of life, than a long drive.  By myself with the music blasting. With no destination just…. drive. Of course, this is not always do-able.  When my husband is still at work, what do I do with the kids?  Or when you have a house full of familia that is driving you nuts. What do you do then? Deep breaths? Yoga positions? I’ve heard of many ways kind of chill after a long, hard day.  I want to know your favorite ways to relieve stress? Come on…...
